this rustic motel in durango exceeded my expectations. the friendly and helpful staff made us feel right at home. our spacious room was perfect for our family and the location was walking distance from the narrow gauge station. a truly enjoyable stay!
No jacuzzi-style tub in our room.

We really loved this hotel: location and the food were all awsome. Comfy bed, television, a coffee machine and a dining area. Property's concierge was top! Adjacent to the downtown, 15 minutes on foot.

Our favorite hotel in Durango, staff was accommodating. We were allowed to use a kitchen with tea/coffee making equipment, a fridge and an oven.

The location was convenient, not far from downtown and close enough to walk into town. the room was large, clean, and comfortable, with a friendly staff who wanted to please us. the hotel also had a handy overnight stop on our way home from Ouray and Telluride, and it was quiet at night. It was a good place to stay and explore the nearby towns.
The hotel was a bit neglected and felt dated, with a dirty wall heater and a noisy ceiling fan.

Motel that doesn't look very nice from the outside but very nice room on the back so no view but very big, with fridge, microwave, terrace to have your own breakfast . Excellent king size bedding, perfect cleanliness. Very large bathroom with shower and bathtub.
the alley leading to the back of the establishment: not easy to drag the suitcases in the pebbles but it's only a very small detail!

typical american motel with comfort for 1 night or two, clean with high performance wifi, on the roadside not far from the center.
it is better to arrive BEFORE 21.00 otherwise you have to call the owner of the establishment.

The location of the lodge is perfect, being not far from downtown and close to all restaurants. Additionally, it is located near the mountains, allowing for easy access to outdoor activities. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with firm mattresses that provide a good night's sleep. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making you feel at home during your stay.
The lodge could improve on their bathroom facilities, as some issues were mentioned in one of the reviews.

We had a wonderful family getaway at Wapiti Lodge! The young man at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Our suite, number 11, was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed. Despite being close to the main road, the room was quiet and we enjoyed a secluded feeling. The kitchen was well-stocked, perfect for our needs. The hotel grounds were lovely, with a grass park area for our toddler to play and a short walk to the Animas River for exploring. We've found our new home away from home and will definitely return!
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

I really got my money's worth at this charming, well-maintained motel. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed. The location was perfect, and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Breakfast delights could use a little improvement.
